GHOUL GRINS

  1. This is an illustration I did for one of Adam Bolivar's weird Jack tales, which originally streamed on the Freezine of Fantasy and Science Fiction for a limited period. (I would have to plunder deep into my blogger archives to determine which novella it was, my best guess being The Devil Came To Boston, most likely. The illustration, as I recall, was intended to convey a close-up image of a ghoul appearing in the aforementioned serialization. I now present here enlarged and as a diptych + two framed film, under a new title. The rest I leave to your imaginations.

  2. It's a manipulated digital image I first drew by hand with magic markers on glossy photo paper and then scanned and uploaded for the finishing touches.) As one evolving image of many among the hundreds being used in the Freezine of Fantasy and Science Fiction, this ghoul-grin joins the ranks of iconic images slowly undergoing their metamorphic transformations as I continually zoom-in on the developing issues being generated by the Nanohorde from the future, the Bloodhost, as I refer to them, responsible for using my being to put out this fanzine of unlimited expressive potential. Suffice it to say, our metastory has undergone enough full cycles in its spiraling journey by now to have shifted into a super conducive amalgamation of fictional autobiography possessed of the richness and diversity any seedpod in a garden needs to take root and give fruit to its strange offspring.

I'm busy putting together the 22nd issue of the FoFaSF right now, hoping to concoct something worthwhile for live streaming to be conducted throughout September or October. If you or a bot are interested in having your fantastical or science based poem(s) appear in the next issue of the Freezine of Fantasy and Science Fiction, please email your submission to:

and I'll get back to you in due time.
Please share this post everything's back online up and running what else have we got to lose before the world ends? Thank you.
